Montana Rotary District 5390 had its District Conference on May 29 and 30 in Great Falls. At the conclusion of the conference, outgoing District Governor Lucy Smith from Kalispell, officially recognized Jeff Langlinais as the new Montana District Governor Elect for 2026-2027!
The Rotary Club of Townsend was formed in 1939. The club has had Assistant Governors who worked with regional clubs around the Townsend area, but never had a District Governor. Jeff has been in District Governor training for several years, starting as Assistant Governor. This is his final year of training before he officially becomes District Governor in 2027-2028.
As District Governor, Jeff will work with the 38 Rotary clubs across Montana to keep them vibrant and growing. He will try and keep the Montana District covering the entire state area. Montana is one of the only districts in the United States that covers an entire state. Montana must maintain the number of Rotarians at over 1200 to keep our District complete as a state.
