SATURDAY LINEUP:
Tyler Potter and Last Minute Surprise (10:00 am to 11:30 am) has been referred to as "Montana's Honky Tonk Ambassador” from playing his own music to covering songs in the likeness of Whitey Morgan and the 78's, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson and Colter Wall, and Billy Strings, to spanning the genres all the way to The Outfield, Ted Nugent, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Tyler Potter and the Last-Minute Surprise is sure to keep the dance floor packed and party pumping! Starting his career at age 17, his band has been the fastest rising honky- tonk group to come out of Montana in recent years.
Chris Bohenek (12:00 to 2:00) is a Montana-based musician, working cowboy, and professional horseman celebrated for his authentic renditions of classic outlaw country and cowboy music, as well as his growing catalog of original songs. Emerging onto the Montana music scene within the past year, Chris has quickly garnered buzz and praise for his old-school country sound and deep, rich baritone—tones rarely heard in today’s country music. His music has drawn comparisons to industry icons like Waylon Jennings, Jamey Johnson, Toby Keith, and Paul Cauthen. Deeply rooted in cowboy culture, performing regularly across Western Montana and Idaho, his dedication to outlaw cowboy music marks him as a standout voice in the modern country scene.
Insufficient Funds (2:30 pm to 4:30 pm) is one of Helena’s most popular bands. The band doesn’t show up with a set playlist, but instead they read the crowd and get a feel for what the crowd wants. Formed in the Winter of 2010, founding members Matt Winters and Al Forgey set out to play the songs and recreate the sounds that were tied to their childhood memories. The result: Country and Southern Rock standards made famous by artists like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, ZZ Top, Steve Miller Band, The Kentucky Headhunters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Brooks and Dunn, Randy Houser, Merle Haggard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Earle and Blake Shelton, just to name a few.
The Longhorn Band (5:00 pm to 7:00 pm) has been playing classic and contemporary country hits for dancers and listeners in the greater Helena, Montana area for over a decade. Longhorn Band plays a craft of true country sound and caters to the listener and the dancer in you with a pleasing mix of fast and slow tunes. Lead singer Clint Rieder, a 3rd-generation rancher in the Boulder area, delivers powerful renditions of tunes by Waylon Jennings, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Hank Jr., and many others. Supported by seasoned musicians with decades of experience, Longhorn will give you the country music you know and love!
The Max (7:30 pm to 10:00 pm) is a three-piece band from Livingston, Montana. Since inception in 1984, The Max is a "power pop party rock" trio from the Rockies and puts out a massive sound for just three guys. They have an incredible knack for pulling off spot-on covers of tunes new and old and for being able to please audiences both young and old.
SUNDAY LINEUP:
Worship in the Park (9:00 am to 10:00 am)
John Dendy and the Delta T (10:30 am to 12:00 pm) play beatnik music. What’s that? It’s singer-songwriter stuff with jazz instrumentation. It’s folk jazz, roots funk, and wordplay. It’s Tom Waitsy with a New Orleans vibe. Dendy writes thoughtful lyrics, sometimes intellectual and sometimes playful, but sometimes it’s just about the groove. He plays upright bass and baritone guitar. Jeremy Terry plays saxophones, flute, harmonica, and electric guitar, and Joey Beran plays the drums. For the Townsend Fall Fest, the core trio will be joined by Justin Ringsak on trumpet and Kelby Sommer on violin. The band joins in on harmonies and the occasional “gentlemen's holler.” The Delta T give Dendy’s songs the strut and swagger that used to happen only in his head.
Justin Case Band: (12:00 pm to 2:30 pm) is a 70’s – 90’s rock cover band. Three powerful lead singers cover tunes ranging from the Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash to Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam. Band members include Mike Killeen, Jeremy Slead, and Luke Michelson.
Copper Mountain Band (3:00 pm to 5:30 pm) plays from honky tonks to county fairs; if you can catch a CMB performance, you won’t want to miss the opportunity! Lead singer Jacque Jolene has a fiery passion for her craft that is like nothing you’ve ever seen on stage. She can captivate any audience with her original tunes, in addition to being able to cover just about any song request, from country to rock ‘n’ roll, and she is surrounded with outstanding musicians who simply love to play!
