Broadwater County Trails Team
The Broadwater County Trails Team is encouraging residents to actively support and get involved in the National Trails Day (NTD) June 6. This Saturday is a day dedicated to promoting the benefits of utilizing our trails and trail routes, encouraging users to engage in outdoor activities, and supporting our local trail efforts. This day helps unite hikers, bikers, equestrians, and paddlers with your local trail team. The Broadwater County Trail Team, part of the Broadwater County Development Corporation, working in partnership with the Broadwater County Park and Recreation Board, is working diligently at designing, developing and maintaining trails in Broadwater County. This day is to help celebrate and acknowledge the existence and use of all trails specifically for us, here in Broadwater County.
We invite anyone interested or wanting to help demonstrate their support and use of trails or trail routes to get outdoors this Saturday and visit your favorite trail or trail route, pick up litter, remove noxious weeds along a trail, or just enjoy the time on the facility. Take a photo, tell us where you were, and share with the Trail Team at bcdc@mt.net, Townsendmt.com.
The Broadwater County Trail Team members will be out participating in NTD at local sites. If you want additional information, contact Al Christophersen at 406-439-0197.
Join us at our monthly trails meeting on June 11th, the second Thursday of each month to learn and be involved in our county trails efforts. We meet at 6 – 8 pm at the Lodge. Bring your enthusiasm and ideas to share. We look forward to your involvement.
