BHS Golf Teams Play Well at State Tournament

On May 19th and 20th, the Bulldogs sent 8 golfers to the State tournament in Billings. They golfed in a practice round on Monday, then competed against other Class B competitors in two rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 19th and 20th. The Lady Bulldogs competed in the team division, as did two individuals - Jazel Ragen and Brynlee Brown. Three Bulldog boys competed in the individual division: Caleb Swanson, Alex Weiss, and Gunner Cox. They are coached by Dan Hazlett and Jesse Swenson.
Alex Weiss tied for 18th place with his score of 167. Gunner Cox finished in 37th place with a 176 score and Caleb Swanson placed 64th with his score of 188. A total of 82 competitors made for some tough competition. The boys’ golf team had a great season and will continue to improve next year.
The girls competed as a team to finish in fourth place out of nine teams. This was an amazing feat. Individual Jazel Ragen tied for 14th place with her score of 187. Louie Parr placed 38th and scored 199. Claire Swanson tied for 43rd place with a score of 204. Brynlee Brown placed 47th with her score of 209, and Autumn Henke finished in 72nd with a score of 247.
The state tournament wraps up the Bulldogs' golf season this year.
