Charles Colberg of Hassel last week met with quite a serious accident by nearly severing one of his fingers from his hand with an ax. Mr. Colberg was splitting wood on a block, holding the slab in one hand and using the ax with the other. The handle of the ax caught on a timber close by and changed the direction of the blade sufficient to catch a finger. Mr. Colberg came to town and had the injured member dressed by Dr. Gilham and is at present nursing the same at the Townsend House.

B.F. Bembrick of Spring Creek came to town Thursday and shook hands with old friends.

Wesley Beatty of Beaver Creek and Miss Johana Holman of Helena were married a few days ago and at once began their matrimonial journey in a cozy home recently refitted by the groom. Sometime ago, Wesley purchased the old Filson place, which is situated close to the Beatty residence and, in anticipation of a matrimonial alliance, made the place desirable as a home. The Star (even though a little late) joins in wishing the happy couple joy and peace on their journey through time.
