MT43 News Staff Reporter

Meagan Watne, NP, who has worked 13 years at St. Peter’s Health in Helena, is now serving Townsend and Broadwater County as a primary provider. Her credentials include Adult Geriatric and Primary care for patients ages 13 and over. She joined the clinic in April after she had finished a bachelor’s degree this year.

Watne,32, who lives in Winston on a ranch with her husband Sam, graduated from Broadwater High School in 2012. She became interested in nursing when she worked in a BHS program coordinated with Broadwater Health Center as a nursing assistant. “I really liked science and besides my sister is a nurse,” she said.

She worked hard throughout her years of study by working full-time and going to school. She will serve patients who need either emergency care or as a primary care provider, with assistance in finding specialty care for chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. “My long-term plan is to stay at this clinic so I can help my patients manage chronic diseases and serve this community that I grew up in,” she said.

Appointments with Watne can be booked through St. Peter’s Clinic at (406)444-8291. The clinic offers laboratory, X-ray services and urgent care.
