Lady Bulldogs Volleyball Win Against Whitehall Trojans

On Tuesday, October 14th, the Whitehall Trojans travelled to Townsend to take on the Lady Bulldogs volleyball teams. The bulldogs ended up sweeping the Trojans, winning every match.

The C squad game ended in a win for the Bulldogs, 25-9, 25-16, and 15-9. Avery White and Ella Toney each led the team with 6 aces each. Ella Toney also had 8 assists and 5 kills. Avery White had 3 kills and 5 digs.

The Junior Varsity game score was 25-21, 25-11, and 15-9, with the Bulldogs winning. Tevyn Newman and Violet Collins led the team with 3 aces each. Tevyn Newman also had 17 assists and 3 kills. Sophia Lamb led the team with 13 kills.

The Varsity game ended with the Bulldogs winning the match, 25-6, 25-9, and 25-8. Kaitlyn Noyes and Sophia Lamb led the team with 4 blocks each. Bryleigh Erickson led the team in assists with 21 and digs with 11. Holly Newman had 11 kills, leading the team, followed by Aspen Slyker, who had 9.

The Manhattan Tigers travelled to Townsend to play the Bulldogs on Thursday, October 16th. It was Pink Night and there were many basket drawings, baked goods, and T-shirts for sale. All proceeds were donated to a local member of our community battling cancer. The day ended with all three Bulldogs teams winning.

The C squad game ended with a Bulldog win in four sets, 27-25, 21-25, 17-15, and 15-7. Avery White had 4 aces to lead the team, followed by Ella Toney, who had 3. Ella Toney led the team with 9 kills and 9 digs.

The Bulldogs beat the Tigers in the Junior Varsity game in four: 25-14, 27-25, 12-15, and 16-14. Graelyn Ragen led the team in aces with 4. Sophia Lamb had 3 blocks to lead the team, followed by Louie Parr, who had 2. Tevyn Newman and Sophia Lamb each had 8 kills to lead the team. Tevyn Newman also led the team in digs with 9, along with Louie Parr.

The Varsity beat the Tigers, 25-22, 25-8, and 25-11. Harper Wolfgram led the team in blocks with 4. Kaitlyn Noyes and Bryleigh Erickson had 8 kills to lead the team. Emmalin Fischer led the team in digs with 10, and Holly Newman led the team in assists with 17.

Next Thursday, October 23rd, is the Lady Bulldogs’ last home game. It is Senior Night. Seven seniors will be recognized. They play the Ennis Mustangs and look to end conference play undefeated.
