Freak Accident Takes Life of Lineman Participant

A freak accident with a four-wheeled Suzuki King Quad took the life of David Dixon of Helena Thursday, July 17, at 2:45 p.m. as activities for the annual Lineman’s Rodeo were gearing up at Broadwater Fairgrounds.
Dixon, 46, of Helena, was traveling on Airport Road toward US Highway 12 when he apparently overcorrected, causing the ATV to overturn, according to a Montana Highway Patrol report from communications specialist Becka Howey.
The accident is under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Broadwater County Sheriff’s office, County Ambulance and Rural Fire Department attended the accident.
