Family of Mary Louise Peterson

March 27, 1984 ~ June 29, 2025

Mary Louise Peterson was taken from us and called home to her Father in heaven in a tragic accident on June 28th, 2025, in Helena, Montana, at the young age of forty-one.

Mary was born on March 27th, 1984, in Great Falls, Montana. The youngest of three born to Steve Peterson and Rae Nickerson. They moved back to Helena shortly after, where Mary spent her whole life. Attending school at Radley, Rossiter, Clancy, Smith, HMS and Helena High.

Mary absolutely loved being outside and with her animals. She was most happy when she was on the farm, out camping, or fishing with her family and numerous friends. Everyone knows she is in Heaven fishing with her Grandpa Garry. She absolutely loved going to Alaska to be with her Big brother, J.T. Mary was always there, no questions asked if you needed her. Mary had a smile that lit up the room as soon as she walked into it and her laugh was so contagious. She spent her adult life taking care of others in one way or another. She was either taking after her Bunny Gram, Mom, Aunt Rita, and older sister, working in health care. Or she was following her big brother, Aunt Colleen, Uncle Timmy, and Cousin Alex in the service industry. Either way, she was always taking care of someone somehow.

Mary met Anthony Allen in 2003. In 2004, they welcomed her firstborn, Emma Louise Peterson to their family. In 2005, Mary met James Swan, and they welcomed Jamie Swan in 2006 and Konner Swan in 2009. Mary's children were her pride and joy.

Mary met her love James Dobbins (Buck) in 2023. They spent their time on adventures. Going to concerts with Emma and Julian, camping trips, road trips, as well as fishing trips. He was Mary's match to a T. Buck brought so much happiness to Mary's life and was with her when she passed.

Mary is preceded in death by her Uncle Brian Peterson, Grandparents Garry and Louise Peterson, Bunny Gram, Sandra Clark, her Uncles Tom Geesling, Scott, Burt, Jim Mech, David Parry and Irvan Parry, Aunts Stella, Normandy and Teri Parry and many friends that she has lost in the short years of her life.

She is survived by her Dad Steve Peterson (Lindy) of East Helena, her Mom Rae Nickerson (Jim Parry) of Birdseye, her Boyfriend James Dobbins (Buck) of East Helena, her Daughters Emma Peterson (Julian Swanton) of Helena, Jamie Swan of Townsend, and her son Konner Swan of Townsend, as well as Brother J.T. Her uncles, Timmy Nickerson (Rita) of Jefferson City, and John Parry (Tara) of Birdseye, her Nieces, Harmoney Parry of Birdseye, and Decembre Parry of Townsend, her nephews, Dylan Crandell of Kalispell, and Oliver Peterson of Minneapolis, MN.
