Jeannie M. Ryan, age 71, of East Helena

April 9, 1954 – June 1, 2025

Jeanne Marie, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. She was born in Great Falls, Mt, on April 9th, 1954, to Larry and Delores Rosin. Growing up, she was surrounded by grandparents, aunts and uncles, many cousins and of course big brother Terry and little sister Shirley. She kept busy swimming, ice skating, piano and dance lessons. Jeannie attended Lincoln Elementary and East Jr. High Schools. She spent many happy summers water skiing at the family’s cherished summer home at Holter Lake.

In 1969 at the beginning of her sophomore year her family moved to Helena where she attended Helena High, graduating with the class of 1972.

Jeannie spent several years in Denver working at a bank, where she began a new chapter in her life. She and Peter Armstrong (former spouse) welcomed a beloved son, Michael Lawrence Armstrong. After returning to Helena in the 1980s, Jeannie worked several jobs, retiring from the State of Montana Dept of Administration, and reconnected with the community she loved.

One of the most fulfilling parts of returning to Helena was meeting and marrying her best friend and partner, Mic Ryan. Together they built a home in East Helena becoming active and devoted members of the Eagles 4040. Summers could find them somewhere in Montana camping and enjoying a good campfire. She was known for her kind heart and friendly spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Mic Ryan, her son Michael (Heather) Armstrong, her mother Delores Rosin, brother Terry (Linda) Rosin, Sister Shirley (Marty) Miller, sister in-law Sheila Magby, brother-in-law Steve (Kim) Ryan. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Kristi (Aaron) Cummings, Cody (Alex) Rosin, Amanda Miller (Nick) and Dylan Miller (Cait).

Jeannie was preceded in death by her beloved father Larry Rosin.

Jeannie is now safe and is at peace in God’s loving arms.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave., with a reception to follow the service in the Social Hall of the funeral home. A wake will be held at the Eagle 4040 in East Helena at 3:30 the same day.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Helena Food Share or your favorite charity in Jeannie’s memory.
