Bryleigh Erickson and Violet Collins had an outstanding state tournament and placed fourth in doubles. They were leading scores on the bulldog tennis team that also placed fourth out of 32.

Nolan Flynn: If you know Nolan, you know his dedication, silent competitive nature and work ethic. Nolan has been working all season to clinch that state medal. Unfortunately, it did not happen for him and he missed them both by one placement. What most don’t know is the distance athletes this year are so fast, including Nolan. Not very often a distance runner would not place in state with a 1600m time of 4:32.39 and a 3200m time of 9:55.12. If you were lucky enough to see him run this weekend, you would have been in amazement of him! Nolan we are so proud of you, even if you did not receive that dream metal. You earned so much more this weekend. You showed yourself and everyone watching you can hang with the big guys and hard work pays off in so many ways.

The girls team worked hard to earn their third-place trophy at state this weekend. Some of their events may not have gone as planned, but they never gave up. Perseverance, grit, and heart were on display this weekend as these girls walked away with a well earned trophy in their hands. Way to go, girls! We are proud of you!
