The East Helena Branch Library (EHB) had a wonderful kick-off event April 10 to celebrate the 25th year that Lewis & Clark Library has had a branch in East Helena. The event ran two hours in the library’s new Community Room.

Participants put their names in for a drawing for five library-branded bags full of branded items. All but one of the folks who had names drawn picked up their bags. Around forty people attended the event. They enjoyed cake, cookies, coffee, water, and conversations! Some more recognizable folks who attended the event were Library Director John Finn, County Commissioner Andy Hunthausen, City Council Member Wesley Feist, and retired Branch Manager Diane Potter.

Upcoming events celebrating the library’s 25th anniversary include a ten-cent book sale on May 24th from 10 am to 1 pm. This event is during a car show on Main Street. On July 24th, after sunset is a family movie in Main Street Park. The movie is going to be Goonies. On August 6th, also in Main Street Park, the “One Man Band” Dan Henry will be playing from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. More events are taking place in the autumn months, too. Please visit the library website for more information: https://www.lclibrary.org/144/East-Helena

Library hours are Monday through Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm, Thursday and Friday 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 10 am to 1 pm, Sunday Closed. Located at 16 East Main Street in East Helena.
