1941
“Radersburg News”
Mr. and Mrs. James Sitton of Helena motored to Radersburg Wednesday and were over night visitors at the home of his folks. Mr. and Mrs. John Sitton and with other relatives and friends here.
Mrs. Jack Ralls of Radersburg, in company with her mother Mrs. Sam Aker of Townsend, motored to Helena on business Monday.
Harold Casey and Eddie Burns of Helena were business visitors in Radersburg Sunday.
The school picnic was held on Monday at the Ben Webb groves and a jolly good time was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
1958
“Dr. Frank Nash Honored at Dinner”
Dr. Frank P. Nash was honored at a dinner Sunday evening given by his brothers, Don Nash, Murray Nash and Jack Nash, of Bozeman. Bob Branton acted as master of ceremonies. The Senior Ensemble under the direction of Mrs. James Ragen sang “Dry Bones” and “The Bells of St. Mary”. After the program, Dr. Nash was presented with a Charles Russel picture – the “Wagon Boss”.

Bertagnolli, Three Forks; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Holland, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Branton, Dr. and Mrs. D.J. McKillican, Mrs. Elizabeth Nash, Miss Joan Nash, Mr. and Mrs. James Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Don Nash and daughters, Sarah and Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. James Kearns and son, Bill, Mrs. Joe Davey, Mrs. James Ragen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ragen, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sautter, Dr. Frank Campbell, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Donahue of White Sulphur Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sherwood and daughter, Sidney, Mrs. Frank P. 1975
“Townsend News”
Airman Brent Helmick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy C. Helmick has graduated at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois, from the U.S. Air Force Technical training course for autopilot repair specialists. Brent is being assigned to McChord AFB. He is a 1974 graduate of the Buckhannon-Upshur High School in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
Jerry Kitto, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kitto of Toston, has received the American Veterinary Medical Association Women’s Auxiliary Award given by the Women’s Auxiliary to a student who has contributed the most to the prestige of the college of Veterinary Medicine on the Washington State University campus. He was chosen by the College of Veterinary Medicine faculty.
Doris L. Arentt completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas on May 5, 1975, with outstanding achievement and recognition as honor graduate of her flight wing. Doris has been assigned to Chanute AFB, Illinois for specialized training in missile mechanics.
Airman Matthew Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meyer, has been selected for technical training in the U.S. Air Force aircraft equipment maintenance field at Chanute A.F.B., Illinois. Matt recently completed training at Lackland A.F.B., Texas where he studied the Air Force Mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. Matt is a 1974 graduate of Broadwater County High School as is his wife, Arliss.

“Around Town News”
Sunday Pearl Barraugh and her daughters, Barbara Wogamon of Townsend and Norma Smith of Helena, traveled to Choteau to attend a party honoring Pearl’s sister-in-law, Virginia Vinatte, for her 80th birthday and Mother’s Day. Pearl’s son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Judy Barraugh of Helena also attended.
Enjoying Mother’s Day dinner with Myrtle Geisser were her son and his family, Fred and Kristi Geisser, Scott, Sean, Sammi, Shad, Hannah and Skylar and her daughter, Susan Geisser.
Chuck and Eleanor Holling took her mother, Alta Townsley, to the Fireside for the Mother’s Day buffet on Sunday.
Sunday, Dick and Jean Buckingham were dinner guests at the home of their daughter and her family, Bettsy Riley, Jessie and Josh.
Weekend visitors with Mildred Neild were her daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and George O’Dore, and Phyllis and Bert English of Helena, Edwina and Monte Hankinson of Dillon and Marsha Iverson of Winnett. During their stay, they took advantage of the dry lakebed to look around their old homestead, submerged beneath Canyon Ferry Lake for more than 40 years.
