BHS Tennis Teams Play Out-of-Town Tournaments

Bulldog Tennis teams were really busy last week.
The Junior Varsity team hosted Three Forks and Jefferson for a home meet. The Bulldogs went 9-2 overall. Kylee Warburton played Three Forks in singles one spot and won her match 6-3, 4-3. In the three singles spot, Haedyn Poe won 6-4, 6-4. Against Three Forks, doubles Addie White and Emma Delgado won the match 7-6, 6-4. Remi Huckleberry and Savannah Sumner won their match 6-2, 6-2. Also, Emma Delgado and Kiera Wheeler won their match 6-2, 6-3. Against Jefferson, Millie Simms and Kylie Warburton beat the Panther doubles, 6-4, 6-2. Kylie Warburton and Addie White won their match 7-6, 6-4. This was a dominant meet for the Bulldogs. Head coach John Odell is very proud of their hard work so far this season.
Tuesday, April 10th, the Varsity tennis team traveled to Livingston to play Red Lodge and Park High School. Broadwater ended winning 18 matches and only losing 3. Against Red Lodge, 1 singles, Harper Wolfgram won her match 6-3, 6-4. Bella McDaniel beat her Red Lodge opponent 6-3, 6-4 in singles and she won her Livingston match 6-2, 6-3. The 3 singles, Jacey Brunette won her Red Lodge match 6-3, 6-3 and her Livingston match 6-4, 6-3. Hailey Hildreth won her match against a Livingston opponent, 6-3, 7-5. The 1 doubles, Violet Collins and Bryleigh Erickson, won against Red Lodge, 6-2, 6-2 and Livingston 6-2 6-4. The 2 doubles, Carson Odell and Chloe Flynn beat Red Lodge 6-3, 6-3 and Livingston 6-2 6-3. Rosemary Salgado and Hailey Hildreth also played Red Lodge doubles and they won 6-4, 6-4.
The Varsity team travelled to Choteau April 11th and 12th. On day one of the trip they played three Forks and Conrad. All matches were one set, starting at 0-0.
Harper Wolfgram played Conrad at 1 singles, winning her match 6-3. Jacey Brunette won her match at 2 singles against Conrad 6-3. Bryleigh Erickson, at 3 singles, won her match 6-0. Chloe Flynn played singles against Three Forks and won her match 6-2.
At the end of the day, the Bulldog team travelled to Choteau to play night tennis. They got to play under the lights and make friends with other teams there. They played fun games with Choteau and Great Falls teams, a highlight of the girls’ season.
The next day, the Bulldogs played Fort Benton, Great Falls Central, and Choteau teams. All matches were played in abbreviated sets, starting at 2-2 with a 10-point tiebreaker if needed.
Harper Wolfgram won some close matches at 1 singles. She played Fort Benton and won 6-4, 3-6, and 13-11 in a tie breaker. Harper also pulled out the win against Great Falls Central 6-3, 2-6, and 10-3 in a tie breaker. Kylie Warburton beat Great Falls Central 6-3 6-4. Addie White won her match against Fort Benton 6-2 6-2. Jacey Brunette played Fort Benton and won the match 6-4 6-4. She won the match 6-4 6-4 against Choteau. Chloe Flynn and Carsyn Odell beat Great Falls Central 6-3, 6-2 and they also beat Fort Benton 6-3. After a long weekend, the Bulldogs won 13 matches and lost 9.
