Rodeo season is upon us, and Broadwater Rodeo & Fair Association, better known as the Rodeo Club, has some exciting news!

Sheep Riding Is Back!

All you rodeo fans will be thrilled to hear that the Rodeo Club is bringing back SHEEP RIDING! This fan-favorite event is making a re-appearance after a nearly 35-year hiatus and will be held during the Friday and Saturday night NRA rodeo performances. Don’t miss it! The Rodeo Club will also be introducing a new event for the Broadwater Western Days Youth Rodeo. DUMMY ROPING will make its debut during the Thursday night youth rodeo and will be a great addition for all.

This year’s rodeo weekend will be August 7-10, which is the first full weekend (including the Thursday) in August. Many folks plan their family and/or class reunions around the rodeo and fair. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Rodeo Club is also pleased to share that we were fortunate enough to receive a BROADWATER COUNTY TRUST BOARD GRANT this year, and we plan to put the monies to great use in our 2025 Public Enhancement Project at the Fair and Rodeo Grounds. We will be installing a new sound system to the outdoor arena, purchasing a new commercial lawn mower to ensure the grounds remain in top-notch condition, adding a much-needed storage facility, and doing a much-needed overhaul of the Handicap Grandstands and Park area, to better accommodate folks.

The grant funds will be a huge help in ensuring we get all of these upgrades done, but we could still use your support with one special endeavor: We would very much like to encourage folks to contribute to our Recognition/Memorial Board for the Handicap Park. Over the years, folks have made financial donations ‘in memory of’ or ‘in honor of’ loved ones or special individuals/groups. The donations were used to further our efforts with this heartwarming area and provide much-needed seating for the elderly and handicapped folks. Well, the association is encouraging businesses and folks to consider making donations this year so we can provide new permanent seating and address some landscaping and painting needs and other improvements. The grant will cover supplies for a new approach ramp, generously being built by Austin Rath with Rockin' AR Construction, but there is much to do in this area. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. Please reach out to any Rodeo Club member or contact Denise Thompson for more information at 406-949-1118.

The Rodeo Club takes great pride in bringing quality performances to all the fans who look forward to rodeo weekend and other events year after year. We also take great pride in keeping the facilities in quality condition. Many comment that our Rodeo Grounds is one of the best in the state and we plan to keep it that way. With that said, we always welcome and encourage others to JOIN THE RODEO CLUB. Many hands make light work, and your talents and time would be greatly appreciated. Get ahold of us to join our club. We would love to have you.

We tip our hats to this wonderful community for your never-ending support and passion for the sport of rodeo. THANK YOU! See you August 7-10, 2025.

REMINDER: LOCAL RODEO SIGN-UPS ARE JUNE 23RD FROM 5-8 PM OUT AT THE RODEO GROUNDS.
