We made history today, the first win in the history of BHS for girls wrestling. We started that program this year.
Choteau was a good eye-opener, it showed us where we are at conditioning-wise and against the competition. We lost a lot of matches that were winnable and that we will win in the future with minor adjustments.
Even though we didn't get the results the athletes were probably hoping for; we did notice some indications of determination in the mentality of our athletes in regards to their goals from here on out.
I think we have a few kids who will surprise their opponents down the stretch and wrap up the season strong. We ended up having one 6th place finisher at Choteau, I believe we will have more medalists at divisionals, which will arguably be a tougher tournament due to the large size and numbers of the Western Division.
